Jolie’s and Pitt’s roles have been given to other actors
18 February 2007The cinema has lost balance between art and its commercial party so on a question on that, the new serial created on the basis of an old plot, besides made a copy in a full-length variant about one year ago, hardly will arise any interest at televiewers: after a while it will be offered to their attention for a million of series taken away on separate episodes from “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”. Those, who hopes to see there Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, will be deeply disappointed.
Though all this was expected: first of all, it is better then to see the whole film which has come on screens in 2005. And secondly, no Hollywood stars with mullions-strong fees would shoot in soap-operas, and “ordinary” actors, doing their best to be noticed by movie companies, are more modest in their financial wishes. These heroes, who are to be shooted in the “divorce suit” on the screen, are already known in the USA. The cast for their television series has recently come to the end and the producer group has finally chosen the actors for “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” series.
Now it became known that Brad Pitt fans will contemplate Martin Henderson. This name has been known among to the western film fans for a long time. The 32-year-old New Zealand actor has a quite solid screen experience: he has played in film The Ring in 2002, and the super profitable hit of hire “Smokin’ Aces” with hiss participation is still being shown in the cinemas. Henderson has got in the good company: Ben Affleck, Andy Garcia and other popular actors have not only provided film with recognition of public, but also have favorably shaded talents of their New Zealand colleagues. Now it will be clear, whether Martin is able to make a competition to the Brad Pitt.
Jordana Brewster, known by the films “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning”, “The Fast and the Furious” and “Annapolis”, will the role of Mrs. Smith.
