“Little Miss Sunshine”: sweetness and bitterness
25 February 2007“Little Miss Sunshine” has won the main prize of the Spirit Awards, which is the Oscar’s art equivalent. The ceremony of the Spirit Awards was held a day before the comedy had to compete in four categories and to win the prize form the Oscar’s Academy Awards.
The film shows the story of a family cross-country trip and the dramatized representation of beauty of ten-year-old girls, and has finished with four awards. The bittiest moment of the film was that not all people, who made this movie, would have an opportunity to compete for the main prize. The group which arranges Oscar Ceremony, the Academy of Arts of the Film and Sciences, has declared about their intention to limit the number of the producers only to three.
Oscar’s innovation has come into force after in 1999 five producers of the “Shakespeare in Love” have overflown a stage, demanding the best picture Oscar for the movie.
