Angelina Jolie talks about her job as UN humanitarian ambassador
12 March 2007The actress has frankly told about her new work on the post of the humanitarian ambassador for the United Nations Organization. Jolie said that she has been constantly crying for first two years. She said that she was so over felt with her emotions that she could not remain calm and could not coldly speak about the situation. The actress said that she is still not sure that has overpassed this period. She still hopes for any changes for better.
Angelina said that during her last visit to Oure Cassoni camp, which is on border between Darfur and Chad, she met the disturbed 7-years boy. His family has tied him-up so that he couldn’t go far away from the house or start striking him again. As it became known the boy was hiding in bushes for 2 days after the boy has lead 48 hours after the village, where he lived, was bombed.
In the course of the UN humanitarian ambassador’s mission Jolie has visited many poor countries of Africa and Asia. During her last visits to Cambodia and Pakistan Angelina said that she doesn’t care those people saying that she is doing „commercial tourism”.
